Adventures await you!

Established in 2009, we are a family based camping, caravanning, 4WD and social club based in Brisbane QLD.

About The Motley's

After a weekend trip to Teewah Beach in February 2009, a group of like-minded camping and 4WD blokes decided to meet regularly with their families. The main aim was to be family focused while camping, 4WDing and enjoying themselves.

Club members have always possessed a strong desire to provide physical and financial assistance to charities and events.

2024 Charity Fundraising

The club members have voted to support Lifeline for 2024.

Our Easter raffle raised $450 in ticket sales, we are also donating our recycled cans and bottle refunds to Lifeline as well.

The club has agreed to donate the same amount as raised by the Easter raffle, so that is $900 from one event!

Community Assistance

Motley members have also provided their assistance to different locations in the SE QLD region who have provided us access to the outdoors, such as Mt Barney Wilderness Camping.

Frequently Asked Questions

What would you like to know from The Motley Crew?

You do not need a 4WD vehicle to become a member! If you wish to participate in some of the offroad type activities, it is recommended that you either gain access to a 4WD vehicle, or you could possibly even sweet talk someone into giving you a ride!

It totally depends on what you have and what you need to feel comfortable in the great outdoors! You could start get out with a basic tent, moving over to a swag, add a marquee to give the swag some protection from overnight dew, a roof top tent, a soft floor camper trailer, a forward or rear fold camper trailer, a tear drop camper, a pop top caravan, a hard top caravan...there are a lot of options available!

Once again, this totally depends on what you have and what you need to feel comfortable. See Question 2 above.

Yes, we are fully covered for public liabilities through insurance purchased via 4WD NSW, this includes everyone who attends an event and signs on our trip sheet.

Come and visit our monthly meeting which is held at The Rocklea Hotel on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, starting from 7:30pm. Introduce yourself during the meeting, have a chat with our committee and club members and find out what trips we have coming up.
