Adventures await you!

Established in 2009, we are a family based camping, caravanning, 4WD and social club based in Brisbane QLD.

About The Motleys

After a weekend trip to Teewah Beach in February 2009, a group of like-minded camping and 4WD blokes decided to meet regularly with their families. The main aim was to be family focussed while camping, 4WDing and enjoying themselves.

Club members have always possessed a strong desire to provide physical and financial assistance to charities and events.

2024 Charity Fundraising

The club members have voted to support LifeLine in 2024.

Our Easter raffle raised $450 in ticket sales, we are also donating our recycled cans and bottle refunds to LifeLine as well.

The club has agreed to match the same amount as raised by the Easter raffle, so that is approximately $900 from one event!

Community Assistance

Motley members have provided their assistance to a number of different locations within SE QLD region, who in turn have provided us with access to the great outdoors, such as Mt. Barney Wilderness Camping.

Funds Raised We support a number of different charities each year.

Raffles We hold monthly and special event raffles at our meetings and on trips to raise funds.

Hours Of Support We participate in events such as Clean-up Australia Day and fire and flood recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What would you like to know from The Motley Crew?

No. You don't need a 4WD to join the club. It would certainly help if you had your own vehicle to be able to get out and about independently, however, there are many friendly club members who may be able to share a seat on a trip...just ask!

Well, this can come down to how much you would like to experience during camping and or driving. You can start with a tent, through to swag, through to camper trailer, through to caravan...there are lots of options! Also, there are many options available for cooking and power while you are on a trip, the only limits are your imagination and also the mighty dollar! $$$$.

As explained in the previous question, this comes down to how much you would like to experience during camping (or glamping). Depending on the location and time of the year, we usually have camp fires, which are in part used for camp cooking. There are also mobile options for gas cooking, electric cooking, et cetera....you can also jump into 12v battery systems with solar panels, there are so many options to choose from.

Yes, we are insured for current financial club members and visitors who sign-on to our Trip Sheet.

Our best suggestion is to attend our monthly club meeting which is held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at The Rocklea Hotel from 7:30pm. Here you can introduce yourself and have a chat with club members. You can find out information on upcoming trips and determine if they line up with your availability to attend.
